About me

Eric C. Smith, MSN, APRN-C is a dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse whose commitment to community-focused healthcare, particularly within LGBTQ+ populations, has guided his career and shaped his professional path. After earning an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Keiser University, Eric shifted toward nursing—completing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2010) and Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner, 2016) at the University of South Florida.

Throughout his diverse career, Eric has served in high-acuity specialties such as surgical trauma, emergency surgery, blood/bone marrow transplant (BMT), and cellular immunotherapy. In 2019, he started a new role at Moffitt Cancer Center. He led care teams through complex chemotherapy regimens and transplant processes, emphasizing patient safety and optimal outcomes. His dedication to education also led him to serve as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of South Florida, where he mentored undergraduate nursing students in hands-on clinical experiences.

In November 2024, Eric joined the Inclusive Care Group team with Dr. Luis, where he now focuses on primary care—delivering culturally competent services for patients across diverse backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. Beyond the clinic, Eric volunteers with the ICG Foundation, using his medical expertise to help expand free HIV testing initiatives and community education programs. By blending his extensive background in critical care, oncology, and infectious diseases with a commitment to holistic, patient-centered care, Eric strives to bridge healthcare gaps and foster greater equity among underserved populations. His dedication to advocacy and volunteerism continues to strengthen Inclusive Care Group’s mission of providing high-quality, stigma-free healthcare to everyone who needs it.
