Apex RF

APEX RF is an advanced, non-surgical radiofrequency (RF) treatment designed to tighten skin, reduce fat, and improve muscle tone. It uses controlled RF energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and promoting tissue remodeling — resulting in firmer, smoother, and more sculpted skin. Unlike traditional procedures, APEX RF requires no downtime.

  • Radiofrequency Energy: Delivers precise thermal energy to stimulate new collagen and elastin, improving skin elasticity and tone.

  • Targeted Heating: Breaks down small fat deposits under the skin, helping contour areas like the jawline or abdomen.

  • Muscle Stimulation (optional depending on device version): Some APEX RF systems also incorporate electrical muscle stimulation to enhance muscle definition.

  • Tightens and firms sagging skin (especially around the jawline and neck).

  • Improves texture and reduces fine lines without surgery or injections.

  • Defines facial and body contours for a more athletic appearance.

  • Quick sessions (30–45 minutes) with no recovery time.

  • Suitable for all skin types and tones.

Patients may feel a warm sensation during treatment, similar to a hot stone massage. Mild redness or swelling may occur but typically subsides within a few hours. Results appear gradually as collagen rebuilds — most clients notice visible improvements within 2–4 weeks, with continued tightening over several months.

Modern men increasingly seek subtle, natural-looking results without the downtime of surgery. APEX RF helps achieve a refreshed, confident appearance — enhancing professional presence and physical confidence while fitting easily into busy schedules. Morpheus8

Morpheus8 (M8) is a treatment that combines tiny needles with gentle radio frequency (RF) energy to target the deeper layers of the skin. This process encourages the skin’s natural repair response, which may help improve texture, firmness, and overall appearance over time. Everyone’s skin is unique, so results and recovery times can differ.

Safe on skin types up to and including VI with little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), which is common with other resurfacing methods.

Morpheus8 Burst and Burst Deep variants are enhanced modalities within that platform that deliver RF energy more deeply and efficiently, combining microneedling with multi-level thermal effects. Morpheus8 delivers the deepest fractional treatments available, penetrating subdermal tissue up to 8mm (7mm + 1mm thermal profile).

  • Burst mode allows a single pulse to deliver radiofrequency energy to multiple depths (“multi-level”) in millisecond intervals (i.e. sequential delivery to different tissue layers). This enables more uniform, efficient treatment with fewer passes.

  • Burst Deep (or “Deep-Body Burst”) is designed for deeper penetration, specifically targeting subdermal tissues and adipose (fat) layers to address more significant laxity, contouring, and remodeling on body zones.

Thus, “Burst + Burst Deep” typically means combining or offering both modes (or switching between them) depending on the area, depth, and concern.

Here’s how the technology works — and why Burst / Burst Deep enhances it:

  1. Microneedling + RF
Tiny micro‐needles penetrate the skin to a chosen depth, creating controlled microinjuries. Simultaneously, bipolar radiofrequency energy is delivered through those needles. The thermal energy heats the dermal and subdermal tissues, inducing collagen and elastin remodeling, tissue contraction, and stimulation of neocollagenesis.

  2. Fractional & Depth Control
Because the device is fractional (only a portion of tissue is treated in each pass) and allows adjustable depths (e.g. from ~0.5 mm up to 7 mm or more in some settings) the clinician can tailor treatment depth to area, skin thickness, and desired effect.

  3. Burst / Multi-Depth Delivery
The Burst mode sends RF energy in a pulse that targets multiple depths sequentially, allowing the superficial dermis, mid dermis, and deeper tissues (including fat) to be treated in a single pass. This increases efficiency, uniform heating, and reduces the number of passes or overlap.

  4. Deeper Thermal Profile (with Burst Deep)
The Burst Deep variant is engineered for more aggressive, deep remodeling. It typically uses a large 40-pin surface tip (for body areas) capable of reaching deeper depths (e.g. up to ~7 mm into adipose plus thermal spread) to target subcutaneous fat, fibrous septae, deeper collagen frameworks, and more robust skin contraction.

Skin Rejuvenation & Tightening

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin for firmer, smoother skin

  • Improves elasticity and reduces fine lines or crepiness

  • Lifts and contours sagging facial and body skin

Body Contouring & Fat Remodeling

  • Targets deeper subdermal layers to contract tissue and remodel fat

  • Refines and sculpts stubborn areas (abdomen, arms, thighs, flanks)

  • Smooths cellulite and improves skin texture

Comprehensive Skin Resurfacing

  • Addresses uneven tone, texture, stretch marks, and scars

  • Reduces the appearance of acne or surgical scars

  • Promotes overall skin renewal for a youthful glow

Versatile Treatment Zones

  • Safe for face, neck, chest, and large body areas

  • Customizable depths (superficial to deep) for tailored results

  • Effective for most skin types with minimal downtime

Efficient Multi-Depth Technology

  • “Burst” mode delivers energy to multiple tissue layers in one pulse

  • “Burst Deep” reaches adipose and connective tissue for advanced tightening

  • Reduces number of passes — faster, more consistent results

Pre-procedure & Setup

  • Topical numbing (or more robust analgesia) is applied to ensure patient comfort.

  • Treatment areas are cleansed.

  • The clinician selects the tip (e.g. Burst or Deep body tip), sets microneedle depth and RF energy parameters based on skin thickness, location, and patient tolerance.

During Treatment

  • The device is applied in passes; microneedles penetrate and RF energy is delivered (multi-depth in Burst mode).

  • Sensation: warming, tingling, mild discomfort is common. The topical anesthesia helps mitigate pain.

Duration

  • Time depends on the size of the area. Smaller zones may take 20–30 minutes; larger body zones may take 45–60+ minutes.

Post-Treatment / Downtime

  • Some redness, swelling, and pinpoint microdots (needle sites) are expected for a few days.

  • Mild soreness, tightness, or warmth may be present.

  • Most patients recover quickly (24–48 hours) for many areas (especially the face); body zones may take slightly longer.

  • Avoid aggressive heat, friction, or harsh products in the treatment area until healing stabilizes.

Results Timeline

  • Initial improvements in tone, texture, and tightness may begin within a few weeks.

  • Because collagen remodeling and tissue remodeling take time, peak results often manifest around 3–6 months post final treatment.

  • Maintenance sessions may be recommended yearly or every 6–12 months depending on aging, weight changes, and skin behavior.

Number of Treatments

  • A typical course might be 3–6 treatments, spaced 4–8 weeks apart, depending on treatment area, severity of laxity, and patient goals.

Limitations & Considerations

  • In patients with thick adipose layers, the effect on fat may be modest unless combined with other modalities.

  • The result is not equivalent to surgical lifts — for severe sagging, surgery may still be required.

  • Outcomes are influenced by patient lifestyle (weight stability, skin quality, nutrition, sun damage).

  • Heavily scarred or very thin skin areas may limit safe depth.

  • Not all patients may tolerate deeper settings; sometimes trade-offs between depth and comfort must be made.

Common Risks & Side Effects

  • Redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, bruising

  • Temporary discomfort, numbness, or tightness

  • Risk (low) of infection if aftercare is not followed

  • Pigment changes (hyperpigmentation), particularly in darker skin types (though InMode devices are generally considered safe over a wide range of skin types)

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Active skin infections, open wounds, or inflammation in treatment area

  • Use of isotretinoin (Accutane) in recent past

  • Certain systemic diseases or immune compromise

  • Implants, metal plates, or foreign hardware directly under the treatment area (depending on depth)

  • Uncontrolled medical conditions, pacemakers, or electrical implants (depending on device safety guidelines)

Morpheus8 is the award-winning fractional radiofrequency (RF) microneedling technology by InMode. It is celebrated worldwide for its ability to provide impressive anti-aging results by remodelling collagen and subdermal adipose tissue on the face and body without the need for surgery.

Body contouring

Tone

Tone is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to cause involuntary muscle contractions in targeted areas.

The treatment is hands-free (i.e. applicators remain in place over the muscle groups) and is designed for comfort and ease of use.

  • EMS Induction of Muscle Contraction
The applicators deliver electrical pulses to simulate muscle contractions—these are involuntary, intense contractions that are akin to doing many repetitions of an exercise in a short time.

  • Metabolic & Structural Adaptation
Repeated contractions stress the muscle fibers, leading to remodeling: muscle hypertrophy (growth), improved tone, and increased strength. Over time, these effects improve the visible definition of the area treated.

  • Supportive Effects from the Evolve Platform
While Tone itself focuses on muscle, in an EvolveX session it is often paired with other modalities (Tite, Transform) that deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat skin/fat, stimulate collagen, and support tightening and fat remodeling.

    • The RF element in other applicators helps in skin tightening and fat reduction, which complements the muscle definition achieved by Tone.

  • Builds muscle tone and firmness in the abdomen, flanks, arms, thighs, glutes, etc.
  • Enhances definition (i.e. more “sculpted” look), especially when combined with fat reduction and skin tightening modalities.

  • No surgical incisions, no anesthesia, and minimal downtime.

  • Can serve as a complement to workouts or for people who want added muscle definition in areas resistant to exercise alone.

  • People with mild to moderate muscle laxity who want better definition

  • Those already fairly fit who desire extra muscle shaping

  • Patients who are within a healthy weight range (i.e. not extreme obesity)

  • Individuals willing to maintain results with occasional repeat or maintenance sessions

  • Some patients notice subtle improvements after 1–2 sessions, but more substantial, visible results typically emerge after 4–8 sessions, depending on area and starting muscle mass.

  • Results continue to evolve over weeks as muscles adapt and remodel.

  • Maintenance treatments may be needed monthly or quarterly to preserve effects.

  • The device is turned on; EMS pulses begin, eliciting strong muscle contractions. Treatment time is often 20–30 minutes per area (or up to 30–45), depending on the protocol.

  •  You’ll feel muscle tightening and pulsing — sometimes described as an intense workout but without the voluntary exertion
  • No downtime. You can resume regular activity. Mild soreness (like after a workout) or redness may occur.

  • Selective Photothermolysis
The device emits pulses of broad-spectrum light (IPL) that include wavelengths absorbed by melanin (pigment) and oxyhemoglobin (blood vessels). The light energy is converted to heat in the target structures, damaging or coagulating them while sparing surrounding tissue.
  • Thermal Cascade & Collagen Stimulation
Beyond targeting pigment and vessels, the thermal heating triggers a mild injury response in nearby dermal tissues. This stimulates collagen remodeling and can improve overall skin tone, texture, and firmness.
  • Clearing & Remodeling Over Time
The damaged pigment or vessel debris is gradually cleared by the body’s natural processes. Over days to weeks, pigmented spots darken, flake off, or are resorbed. Vascular lesions may regress as the treated vessels contract or are absorbed.
  • Sun damage, age spots, freckles, lentigines

  • Pigmentation irregularities and hyperpigmentation

  • Superficial vascular lesions: broken capillaries, spider veins, rosacea, telangiectasias

  • Improvement in overall skin tone, clarity, and complexion

  • Regions commonly treated: face, neck, chest, hands, arms

  • Stronger energy (higher peak power) leads to improved efficacy and possibly fewer sessions needed.

  • More controlled pulses (shorter duration) help reduce unwanted thermal spread.

  • Cooling (often sapphire tip or other cooling methods) helps protect surface skin and enhance patient comfort.

  • Minimal downtime or recovery compared to ablative lasers or deeper energy devices.

  • A full skin evaluation and history (e.g. prior sun exposure, tanning, photosensitizing meds)
  • Avoid significant sun exposure or tanning for a few weeks prior

  • Discontinue certain topical agents (retinoids, strong acids) as advised

  • Cleanse the skin; protect eyes with goggles

  • Apply coupling gel if used (to improve light transmission)

  • The applicator is placed on the skin, and pulses of light are emitted
  • Sensation: many patients describe a mild “snap” or “rubber band” feeling at each pulse

  • Cooling may be active during or between pulses to reduce discomfort

  • Treatment duration varies depending on area size — often 20 to 45 minutes for facial / moderate zones

Immediately After / Downtime

  • Mild redness and warmth akin to a mild sunburn is typical

  • Pigmented spots may temporarily darken (this is often a sign of the treatment working)

  • In the next few days, pigmented lesions may flake off or fade

  • Minimal downtime — patients often resume normal activities quickly (though care must be taken with sun exposure)

  • Some improvement may be observed within 1–2 weeks
  • Continued improvements over several weeks as collagen remodeling occurs
  • For pigment or vascular issues, optimal results often require multiple sessions spaced out (e.g. 1–3 or more)
  • Deep pigmentation or melasma may be more challenging
  • Effects are not equivalent to ablative resurfacing — more modest in strength

  • Skin type (esp. darker skin) must be carefully managed to reduce risk of pigment changes

  • Success depends on good sunscreen habits and skin care preservation

  • Transient redness, edema

  • Temporary darkening of pigment, blistering (rare)

  • Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (especially in darker skin types)

  • Possible discomfort, post-inflammatory changes

  • Selective Photothermolysis
The laser emits light energy that is absorbed preferentially by the pigment (melanin) in hair follicles. That energy converts to heat, damaging the follicle structure and inhibiting future hair growth.

  • Adjustable Wavelengths / Dual Modes
To treat different skin/hair types, Fusion uses different laser settings (Light vs Dark) to adapt energy and depth, reducing risks for darker skin types.

  • Cooling & Safety Systems
Fusion systems typically include cooling mechanisms (e.g. contact cooling or chilled tip) to protect the skin surface, reduce discomfort, and lower risk of burns.

  • Multiple Passes & Treatment Sessions
Because hair follicles go through growth cycles (anagen, catagen, telogen), multiple sessions spaced out are needed to catch follicles in the active growth (anagen) phase. Fusion isn’t a one-and-done treatment.

  • Significant reduction in unwanted hair over time
  • Greater comfort and safety through cooling and adaptable settings
  • Can treat various body zones (face, underarms, legs, bikini, back, chest, etc.)
  • Potentially effective across more skin tones thanks to Light and Dark modes
  • Patients with unwanted hair looking for long-term reduction

  • Those who have contrast (hair darker than skin) but also physicians treating more diverse skin tones

  • Patients without contraindications (see below)

  • People willing to commit to a series of treatments

  • Full consultation: assess skin tone, hair type, medical history, possible contraindications

  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and skin irritation (peels, strong topicals) in the period before treatment

  • Shave the area 24 hours before (so that hair is in follicle but surface hair is minimal)

  • Cleanse the skin; apply any cooling gel if required

  • The operator moves the laser applicator over the treatment zone, delivering pulses of laser energy

  • Sensation: many patients report feeling a “snap” or mild stinging at each pulse (some liken it to a rubber band snap)

  • Cooling is activated during or between pulses to mitigate thermal sensation

  • The duration depends on the area (small areas may take only minutes; large zones may take 30–60 minutes)

  • Some reduction may be noticed after the first or second session

  • Most patients require 4 to 8 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart (depending on area, hair density, individual physiology)

  • Results improve gradually; full effect may take months

  • Maintenance treatments may be needed annually or semiannually

  •
  • Mild redness, warmth, possibly slight swelling (“sunburn-like”) may occur for a few hours to a day

  • Some hair follicles may darken and later shed

  • Avoid sun exposure, hot baths, harsh topical agents for a few days

  • Normal activities are usually resumed right away

  • Hair that is very light, red or gray may not respond well (low pigment to absorb laser)

  • Thick adipose or deep hair follicles may be harder to treat effectively

  • Not a replacement for surgical removal in extreme cases of very dense hair

  • Patient compliance with pre- and post-care is key to safe results

  • Temporary redness, swelling

  • Possible blistering, burns if overly aggressive or improperly used

  • Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation—especially in darker skin types

  • Folliculitis or ingrown hair (rare)

  • Discomfort or pain in sensitive zones
